Our friend Heather Millington, a permanent staff alum, is involved with a new radio show at her college’s radio station – WNAZ at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville – that blends her passion for independent music and social justice.
It’s called The Grassroots Project:
The Grass Roots Project is a radio show on WNAZ that believes in the power of faith, art and music as a way to fight local as well as global social injustice. Our mission is to inform the public as well as inspire change.
Every month will be dedicated to a different organization that is making a difference. The show will include interviews by the organization of the month, small ways that anyone can help out their community, and some great music.
If you are a band, artist or organization that would like to be a part of The Grass Roots Project, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
The next show will air locally and on the Internet Tuesday night at 8 p.m. Be sure to hit up The Grass Roots Project on MySpace and Facebook for more information.
